The Varsity
The Rail Yard is the premier off campus housing option for UD students. Our apartments and townhomes are fully furnished, equipped with high speed internet access, in-unit laundry facilities, and stainless steel appliances in every kitchen.
Each of our UD student apartments includes individual private bedrooms with full-sized beds and private bathrooms for each resident. Every unit comes with an outdoor area, 55” Smart TV, and sectional leather sofa. And there’s no need to find your way downtown to get to the gym, since our onsite fitness center is open 24/7. And the perks don’t stop there.
All residents of The Rail Yard and The Varsity have access to The Rail Yard Downtown Lounge on East Main Street, adjacent to The Green. This brand new facility features WiFi, private study rooms, shared workspaces, self-serve Starbucks Coffee, and an outdoor deck for studying or relaxation.
Finally, when it comes to security, we’ve got you covered. Not only is the walk to campus less than a half mile, but we’ve invested in monitored exterior security cameras and well lit off-street parking to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable at all times. The Rail Yard also features a secure package and mail delivery facility, and all units are equipped with solid core doors accessed via a Key Fob Programmable Lock System. And of course, our trained maintenance staff is available 24 hours a day.

The Varsity offers spacious, pet friendly, two story townhomes with private entrances, password protected WiFi, HD Cable and High Speed Internet, and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. Plenty of One Bedroom units are available!
Loft units with vaulted ceilings are available, and all of our off campus housing options are equipped with updated bathrooms and kitchens. Common spaces have hardwood style LVP flooring, full-sized appliances, and free washer and dryer.
The Varsity is located close to a MegaBus stop, Amtrak station, and of course the University of Delaware campus. For those who prefer to take their own ride, we offer private off street and bicycle parking. For the outwardly inclined, nearby nature trails and our adjacent tennis courts are a perfect option on a nice day.
Our maintenance staff is available 24 hours a day and water, trash, and sewer fees are included in rent.
